100k Giveaway from Donjazzy
What should giveaway money be used for?

In 2017, Donjazzy sent me 100k for Christmas
For context, from 2010 to 2018, I was a proper social media girl!
I was very loud on Twitter, I knew a lot of people, and I had tweets that had great engagements.
I mean to date Burnaboy still has me blocked…
I probably expressed how much I … oh, nevermind
So, I was everywhere, and if influencing was a thing that year, I probably would have started a career there and then.
I honestly do not know where I got the energy from, but I am not sure I have 1% of that energy left in me.
Anyway, I was in my final year this December 2017 and I saw a tweet from Donjazzy (He was promoting a song) about sending account number, and I did not even think about it, I mean, money is money I sent my details and slept
I was not looking forward to anything being sent, tbh, and I was going to delete the tweet the next day because if you check my tweets, I probably have abused people who put their account details online - I could be comfortably controversial (‘could’ is a past tense btw)
I woke up in the middle of the night and saw 100k credit alert from Michael Collins Ajereh , and I slept back .
First, it had to be a mistake because that was the first time I was receiving 6 figures from anyone that is my money!
I had thought about how I was going to go to the bank and complain that someone sent me money by mistake.
When I woke up, it still did not click, then I googled who Michael Collins Ajereh was and it was DONJAZZY!!
Then I ran to Twitter and then!!
oh oh oh!!!
The way I screamed was unnecessary because I attracted more than my roommates and they had to collect ‘something’
whoosh whoosh,
first, my roommate had to also get money from him,
Queen got 50k, but one of us did not!!
Omo, I felt rich!!!!
100k! In December!!! WOW!
The first thing I did was send 50k to my talking stage that year to keep for me.
Then I went to my family group, sent airtime to everybody,
I had to give people money to those who begged Donjazzy for money that did not get, because, the number of DMs I got ehn!!!
That same day, I was in Eko market, thanks to my roommates who felt I needed to change some things because I was now on another level - I was pricing things, and I bought things I did not need
Eventually, I collected the 50k I kept and did December Mother Christmas and that is how the money finished!
deep sigh!
I can’t even say I did one tangible thing for myself, I look back and I feel so sad.
Many times, we don’t know how to handle unplanned money.
In retrospect, what would I have done?
First, why was I shouting? why was I calling attention?
I would have sent a thank you to Donjazzy in his DM
The next thing will be to save 80k out of that money in an account that will give interest.
I mean, not like I was expecting it, so why not, if not
Then use 10k to buy food for myself and my roommates
and use 10k to distribute airtime among family and friends.
maybe not like that, but I would have kept aside a large chunk of that money saved and invested somewhere.
in 2024, 100k still means A LOT to me, so imagine what it could have done in 2017!!!!
PLANNING cannot be overrated.
You need to know what to do with money in all seasons.
Consistently impulsively doing things shows low intelligence and it affects you in the long run.
Many people will get bonuses at work in December, 13th month and all and all that is on their minds is to enjoy it and blow it all up!
It is WRONG!
You better plant it and let it YIELD for you!
Is enjoying yourself now a bad thing? NOT AT ALL!
But you should have planned enjoyment

Take out money to take care of yourself, and plan for it so you don’t touch the money you ideally should not be.
How much will make you do something fun in December, know the amount and save towards it.
So you are not eating chicken and thinking of how to pay back debts or borrow to survive in January.
